What is a Corporate Appointee?
A corporate appointee is an organisation authorised by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) to manage benefits for someone who is unable to do so themselves.
As set out by the DWP, an appointee is responsible for:
- Signing the benefit claim form
- Reporting changes that may affect benefit entitlement
- Using benefit payments in the claimant’s best interests
- Notifying the DWP if they are no longer acting as appointee
We ensure these responsibilities are carried out correctly, in line with DWP guidance and safeguarding requirements.
Fees
Our fees are:
- £20.50 per week
Funding may be considered by the local authority as part of an individual’s care and support arrangements as a disability-related expense where applicable.
